What about copyright?

What kind of copyright permission do you have?  And what kind of copyright permission do you give?

Just in case you were wondering…!  All our presenters have given us permission to make their material available for transmission on TV, the web or on DVD.  All our introductory and end graphics are created by us - always with permission to use all the content.  All the music we use is buy-out royalty-free with no more to pay, we’ve been given copyright permission to use it or we’ve created it ourselves.

In answer to the second question, we’ve previously given everybody permission to copy our material because we wanted people to spread it around and use it, or to download it for their own personal use.  We’ve deliberately created our files as high res as possible so people could download stuff to create DVDs for small groups.  HOWEVER  (NB), this blanket permission has since been abused (by the media…) and we can no longer give you such a broad-spectrum permission.

THIS COPYRIGHT INFORMATION SUPERCEDES ALL PREVIOUS COPYRIGHT PERMISSION, EVEN THAT GIVEN AS AN END-GRAPHIC ON OUR OLDER PROGRAMS.  We would ask that you respect this new copyright restriction.  That is, all the material is copyright to Audio Advice Pty Ltd, and you will need to seek our permission to copy or download anything UNLESS you agree to abide by the following parameters.  We hereby give you permission to download and/or copy our video/audio material if you agree to download it in its entirety as a video or audio file and USE it in its entirety  ie  do not show/play small segments.  We would also ask that you ONLY use it as video or audio format and do not transcribe it or use it in another medium or format.  You are not to on-sell any products that you may create from our original material or charge any money for any reason for the use of our material.

Sorry if that sounds harsh… :-)  but I’m sure you’ll understand why we’ve had to do it, and abide by our requests.
